WP1. Business Modeling
The objectives for this Work Package are:
- Model two commonly known business models (User Design and Design on Demand) as value chains consisting of interacting processes. Detail all chain components using standard industry modelling notation.
- Assemble all cost components per AVS methodology of all constituent processes and calculate individual and consolidated Added Value Stacks.
- Identify potential business risks from changes in the economic environment and the supply chain's eco system.
- Subject models to variations of key conditions and parameters and forecast sustainability, expandability and robustness based on what-if simulations about inclusion and/or exclusion of constituent processes, roles, actors and interfaces (info, tangibles) and stochastic projections of key parameter deltas in time.
- Decide on the recommended few models that we shall use in the Demonstrator.
- Monitor regularly progress of Work Packages 2-3-4-5-6-7 and potentially identify impacts on the current business models. Evaluate impacts and, if needed, introduce necessary changes.
- Advance the AVS method and techniques to address flexible value-chain configurations with multiple participants across international borders, and make it generically applicable to other than the Ophthalmic Industries.
